About me

Deena ElGenaidi is a writer and editor based out of Brooklyn, New York. She is a former editor for Hyperallergic and reviews books for The Brooklyn Rail. Her writing has been featured in Nylon, MTV News, Longreads, Electric Literature, Lithub, The Philadelphia Inquirer, Heavy Feather Review, and more. She is currently seeking representation for her novel about Egyptian-Americans living between two cultures. In addition, she is working on a number of shorter fiction and nonfiction pieces, along with a television script.
